Atlas Silver Series Install (HO Scale)

(1/2) > >>

KB02:
Ignore the paint job - it was my first one.

Started with my Atlas Silver series Dash-8.

I hid the speaker in the radiator:

Remove the shell to find the big fat wires I had installed on my Econami Decoder:

With everything stripped, I ended up with this:

I got a bunch of these 2mm LEDs and some magnet wire, so i figured I could take care of the fat wires headed to the ditch lights:

With all the wiring done, it looked like this:

Then I installed the LM3S and tamed all the wires and ended up with this:

Shell back on and back on the track:

The railings need to be repainted, and I broke the snow plow taking it off, but I can address those later. That 16 cylinder ULT sound profile beats the crap out of the sound file in the Economi (Just my personal opinion, but, hey...) :)

G8B4Life:
Nice install there KB02, and don't worry about the paint job; I've seen worse first attempts.

Gibs:
I'm with Tim, seen far worse (my own lol).
Well Done Matey, looks very tidy under the hood.

atsfguy:
Good job, KB02. Nothing bad about the paint job, it looks good. I would recommend Kapton tape be used to tie down loose wiring rather than painter’s tape. Otherwise, good first job.

KB02:
Yes, the painter's tape was just temporary to hold the speaker for testing.
