Broadway Limited Sharknose - 21 Pinout Questions.
OccamsRazor:
Hello All,
It has been awhile since I last posted as I pre-ordered a Broadway Limited B&O Sharknose from a vendor I had used previously and after a LOOONG wait of almost exactly 1 YEAR I was sent a note, (after I asked about the delay), telling me that my pre-order had been canceled because they had "over-sold"... What is the point of a pre-order if you are just going to over-sell anyway? >:(
Anyway.... I found one on Ebay and had it within a week. I did end up paying more, (because of shipping), but I finally got the engine I had been looking for!
On to the problem at hand...
The Broadway Limited Stealth Series is a very nce engine with decent details, (and even come pre-installed with a speaker!), but they have a proprietary MTC21 motherboard with a 21 pin socket. I have a bunch of TCS 21 to 9 pin adapters laying around and finally figured out WHY they are laying around. Putting in an adapter board makes it close to impossible to install the adapter board AND a RailPro module and be able to fit the shell without having to hack up the chassis. Taking out the motherboard and the RailPro fits perfectly with room to spare.
Soo... Decided to hardwire the RailPro, (which is what I usually end up doing in these situations and why I have an abundance of TCS adapters floating around).
Herein lies the dilemma. Broadway Limited does not include a wiring pinout for the MTC21 in the box. After a bit of searching I was able to find it on their support page but Between Broadway and RailPro I still have some questions that need answering.
Here is the diagram from Broadway: (BTW J6, J8, J9 & J10 are not used in the Sharknose)
Here is my attempt at matching pinouts to the RailPro:
The engine runs with this pinout BUT the lights do not work correctly. Sometimes they will light up and work fine but a change in direction with turn them off. Other times they turn on and then turn off immediately. Most of the time they don't light up at all. The HC2 gives a "Output short" error message but not sure what that short might be as there are no bare wires and every connection is heatshrinked.
I originally had J7:Pin5, (that Broadway designates as a +3.3V), tied to the common, (Blue wire), on the RailPro but disconnecting it made no difference.
Any assistance would be appreciated!
Thanks!

I've made a copy and converted the diagrams (for future reference this forum software does not support webp and neither does a whole host of other stuff either). However it's past midnight so I can't look at it right now. I'll try to get some time tonight.

Sorry...
I tried to upload them as JPG but the system said they were too big. GIF. Same... :o The only thing GIMP would convert them to that was remotely within the size limit and that the system allowed me to upload was WEBP :(
