Don't let the number of views fool you, for some time now our forum has been getting constantly hit by bots, the spammer kind trying to register and scrapers, which I suspect at the height of the bots visiting were for the AI companies to train their AI.

Just for some quick stats, today we had to reject 5 signups that bots successfully answered the signup questions to, and at the height of the bot visits two weeks ago we had 4463 "guests" online.at once. Of the 46023 views on this topic right now I'd suggest less than 50 were made by humans, and less than half of that were by members of this group.

This is just. Railpro forum.  Why would anyone flood the forum with bots?

Well this is the premier forum on this product...

Companies like Google notice that from searches by humans.

Get enough searches, and Google launches BOTs to crawl the site to keep current.

Saves time which is money for Google... it's all about the dollars.

Look at my site: right now it shows 780 "people" on my site... those are mostly BOTs scanning my site (25 million hits) on elmassian.com
