Welcome aboard Jeff!
I copy/pasted your question into a new post under "RailPro Specific Help & Discussion" and gave you some info about my layout that you can compare/contrast against.

RogerC:
Hello everyone!  My name is Roger and I am in the process of construction of a G scale layout.  In April I retired for the second time from the Railway Industry.  40 years providing capital equipment to rail vehicle maintenance facilities globally was a great career.  In my youth I enjoyed HO and N scale layouts before high school, work and college took my time.  I was exposed to a G scale railway about 25 years ago and it was dormant until early this year when I knew I would retire for good. Since then I have spent a lot of time online looking a G scale websites as well as layouts on YouTube.  I have purchased some used equipment and have been learning a lot working on locomotives bringing them back to life.  I learned of RailPro early in my research and liked all of the features with the loading sharing ability possibly the most attractive.  Don Sweet, RCS of New England, shared a lot of information and experience with me about RailPro so I purchased a system.  I am hoping to have my first install complete soon and operating on a local layout.  I live in northern New York and plan to have my own Garden train layout operating before snow flies!

Welcome aboard Roger!
Living in upstate NY and hoping to have your garden train layout operating before snow flies might be a bit sporty!
I wish you luck and good weather! Share some photos when you can.
