After a really rough year at work I'm finally getting back to the layout. I noticed a few updates for the HC-2 and loco modules so decided to load them up. One of my HCs updated without a hitch. The other one will not upload a file at all. I'm showing that it is connected to internet and the controller is connected as well. It just won't upload the files. It's on software ver 1.20 if that makes and difference. The other one was the same and updated just fine. Anybody have any ideas?
Thanks, Rick

You need to update the HC to version 2.03 from RPA, which should be version 3.20.
-
That's what I'm trying to do. One of the HC-2s updated ,no problem. The second one just won't upload anything. RPA is 3.20
-
Are you trying to load the correct update? there is a different update for the HC-2B vs the HC-2.
Also your RPA must be the latest version.
-
Yes Sir,most certainly am. Like I said,I updated one of them just fine.

Just making sure you don't have a 1 of each scenario.
Sounds like it's time to call Ring. I find results are faster by phone vs email.
-
I really wish he had an actual location. I only live about 6 miles from his PO box location so I'm quite sure he's not far from there. Probably in the Batcave or some mad scientist tunnel LOL

Have you tried resetting that HC. Just one other thing to try.
-
No I did not. Forgot all about that. Do you just push the button on the back while it is on or is there a special sequence??
-
Never mind. You sir are my hero of the day. Worked like a charm. Updating as I type. Thanks for the help Gentlemen!!!!!!!!!
-
Glad it worked for you. Tim Ring is not a big advocate of using that reset, but when all else fails... ;)
-
Glad you got it going!
Tim Ring is not a big advocate of using that reset
That is true!
Note: You should probably re-calibrate your battery indicator after the reset has been pressed.
-
Calibrate your battery indicator??? How do you do that?
