HI there . im running a reverse loop with a peco sl u8363,double slip .Is purchasing a AR1 and isolating that double slip wold be the best route .Any suggestions thanks Tom

I'm not familiar with your switch, but so long as you can isolate all 4 rails where the loop connects to the switch, then the AR-1 should do the trick allowing you to traverse the loop with no polarity issues.

I don't use them as I run deadrail, but I'm assuming the AR-1 tolerates the short duration short as metal wheels first cross the gap, then quickly changes the polarity to eliminate that short.

Basing my response on a quick review of the AR-1 instructions.

Can the AR-1 be used with my NCE system? The instructions state to only use it with a RP power supply.

You'll need a DCC auto reverser if your layout is powered by a DCC system.
The Ring AR-1 cannot be used with DCC power.
