Title: can we rotate the switch icon on the HC?
Post by: rick on September 26, 2021, 01:26:19 PM
I generally have traffic flow in one direction on the layout.  The swtiches are controlled by the Accessory AM-1.  It is a bit of a nuisance having a right or left turnout upside down in relation to my layout, but it is more confusing with a Y switch, having to interpret the correct leg by rotating the icon in mind.  It would be much better to rotate the icon as shown in the HC.  Has anybody done this?

Unfortunately that is not possible.

Would the use of a self-produced photo be a solution?

No, the only things that a self provided image can be used for is a picture of the locomotive to be able to visually identify the LM to be controlled and the same for an accessory (non turnout). No other button pictures can be changed.

I don't think that the default turnout indicator images are actually that good, and would be better served in the single line style that one would find on control panels, and for those that do have trouble visualising direction rotated images also being available could probably be good too.
