Title: Atlas O scale 2 SW9
Post by: mecmt on March 13, 2023, 06:57:16 PM
I have install 3 G/O scale decoders in 3 of the Atlas O scale SW9.  It is a realy thight fit.  So I was woundering if I could use a HO scale decoder instead.  This model has 1 motor, and not 2 like most O scale engines.  I am unsure of the electrical ratings, and operation with the other O scale engines I have done.  Any thoughts?

If you are talking about the Rail Pro system, I was told by Don Sweet of RCS of NE that the HO boards can not handle the power loads that are needed to run O and G scale engines. If it's only a tight fit, that means it will fit someway, somehow.
