Title: Is RailPro Cruise Control?
Post by: Homeless by Choice on December 23, 2016, 07:53:04 PM
Does the RailPro system maintain a constant train speed (within engine capability) when traveling up a grade, while on the flat above the grade, and again while going down the grade?  In other words, does it act similar to a vehicle’s cruise control.

I am just curious and haven’t found any reference to this anywhere.

Thanks in advance,
LeRoy

PS:    I have decided to go RailPro and dropped “My HO RR empire will be digitally controlled.  DDC vs RailPro” from my signature.

No. Uphill it slows, downhill it accelerates. Although it takes a good long train to really notice much change. My observation based on a less than 2% grade. I suspect a much steeper grade may show more speed difference. Power running light has no detectable change on my 1-2% grades.

Just like the real thing.
