Title: Deleted files, but still no Free Storage

showing Free Storage at 1%, but deleted many files from several locos. Like "Sanding" which takes several minutes to delete. But still no Free memory to download new files.

Is there something that has to be done to release the memory locked up in those deleted files?  Thanks

I may be wrong, but I think the Free Storage means the amount of space on the HC, not the LM. Try deleting the files from the HC. The ULT series of sound files eat up a TON of room. My HC regularly shows around 2-3% of Free Storage and I'm constantly having to juggle which files are needed for which loco install.

Many thanks ... it never occurred to me that free storage meant in the handheld.

In case you weren't aware, loading files from the computer takes ZERO space on your HC!

I presume you mean loading the files from your computer via a CI-1?

Storage space on handheld controllers is limited. They will show an error message when attempting to load a file if there is no room left. The HC Simulator has a lot more room than the handhelds.

The LM's also have limits with the newer modules having more room than the older ones.
