It has not been listed on the Ring Engineering site yet, but today I received my first stock of LM-3S modules.
http://pdc.ca/rr/catalog/product/railpro-and-accessories/51
I have very little detail about whats new about them other than that one of the input leads has been converted to a common lead and they have increased memory capacity. I believe they are otherwise functionally the same as the LM2. The pricing is also the same as the LM-2S.
Dimensions:
L 1.502" x W 0.700" x H 0.256"
or 38.12mm x 17.77mm x 6.53mm

May want to inform Tim there is a misprint in the LED current statement. 120mA would make one very bright LED for a fraction of a second!

Oh, yup, I'll let him know!

How much memory is on the new LM-3S?
-
Apparently the official announcement with all the details will come sometime next week.

The LM-3 and LM-3S are now listed on Ring Engineering's website: http://ringengineering.com/LM-3S.htm
Here are the official details about these new units so far:
From Tim Ring:
- The LM-3 and LM-3S have twice the program memory of a LM-2.
- The LM-3S have twice the storage memory (for more sounds) of a LM-2S.
- The LM-3 and LM-3S have a Negative pin in place of input 2. Therefore they have one input instead of two. The Negative pin will allow better compatibility with keep alive and DCC.
- The prices are the same as LM-2 and LM-2S.
Here is a link to the Instructions PDF from Ring: http://ringengineering.com/RailPro/Documents/LM-3Instructions.pdf
I have them in stock and ready to ship :)
