what do any of you with outdoor railroads use to protect your AM-1's? I have three scattered around my layout to control turnouts, and they are working well. I bought some aluminum buildings listed by a guy on a G Scale Facebook group, they look good BUT the range is almost non existent if I leave them over the AM-1 and battery powering it.
Will the signal go thru a plastic or wood building? I really hate the thought of running enough wire to get them all to a central location close to where I am most of the time running my trains...............
