Allen McClelland had a massive stroke the other day, then went into a coma, then passed away. Allen had the V&O (Virginian & Ohio) RR that was written about and he even had some books covering the layout. I had the privilege of going to 2 of his open houses during the MNRA layout tours. Allen was a great host, and would answer any question about the layout, and the story behind the railroad.
He lived in the Dayton Ohio area.

It's always so sad when another old timer goes the way of all good things.
My condolences to his family and his friends.
May the whistle sound long and hard in memory of Allen and take for ever to fade.
