Here is a discussion I had with Tim Ring about notching and control possibilities relating to Brake/Coast and automatic/manual notching.
It would be great if this group could collaborate on a set of ideas and a wishlist for RailPro.

That's exactly what I'm talking about! The locos my son and I ran last week had Tsunami decoders installed and that is how they were set to run. Turn the throttle up to the desired speed and then use the brake to start and stop it. The engine stays "running" at the last rpm/notch setting. With the brake on, you can turn the throttle down and the engine returns to idle. Turn it to "0" and after a set time delay it goes thru "shut-down". The start up sequence commences when you acquire a loco and turn the throttle up a tick.(if I recollect correctly).
If Tim and Co can do that to Rail Pro then the last reservation we had about buying into that system is removed. Otherwise my son is so enamored with the extra bit of realism that he doesn't want me to buy something that doesn't do what our friend's locos can do. I would hate to lose my train buddy, don't you know?!
