Title: Lead engine in consist
Post by: Dean on April 10, 2017, 09:33:02 AM
I don't know if everyone saw this info on another forum, so I'll copy it here.

If you change the Top Speed, Accel rate and Decel rate in the lead engine of a consist, all the other engines in the consist will run exactly like the lead without changing their settings. The Start boost probably works too, but I didn't try it.

I've never heard that one before. AFAIK, it is not mentioned anywhere on the Ring website.  :o

It does make some sense.  It says that once you pick your lead engine the rest will follow even if the lead slows down going up a hill. That's why you can split your consist into lead engines and pushers.
Cool!

Sure, it's part of the consisting, the locomotives have to inherit the same basic characteristics to run together.
That's part of the the magic of RailPro speed matching.
