Ed:

Welcome to RailPro and RPUG. I'm a former DCC guy myself having been heavily involved in Free-mo and trying to keep Digirtrax running. Enjoy!

Viper, here's an SD40-2 installation by one of our members to help you get started:

Welcome Ed!

If you're feeling really adventurous with the ScaleTrains install, here's another method to accomplish that: https://rpug.pdc.ca/index.php/topic,417.msg3235.html#new (https://rpug.pdc.ca/index.php/topic,417.msg3235.html#new).  However, it's far easier to use the existing board and use a 21-pin adapter harness as Bruce did.  I'm a glutton for punishment so I removed everything and hardwired the Railpro module in.  Certainly not necessary, but another option to consider depending on your end goal.

maybe on the next one Kevin, but I do like the extra speakers and the keep-alive.
