Title: End of the line
Post by: darryl.trains on July 10, 2018, 11:15:42 AM
I never thought I would be done with changing engines to RailPro. Since I have no more room for engines plus the ones I use at our club, my next RP order most likely will be the last, well, unless something comes along that I simply cannot resist buying, this is the end of the line. Sure is a blast and at times frustrating but in the long run, I would have done it all over again only this time it would have been started much earlier had I known about RP. I found the PROTO RDCs were the easiest to work with and run well. Putting passengers inside and adding overhead lighting makes it even better looking at least for me.  Now go ahead and have phun #################.  The old fardt in Yuma  8)

For some reason I don't think this is the end of the line for you. You will find more room!  ;D

Well Alan, I truly have run out of room and no place to store anything. I do have some of my freight cars on a siding in the club house but there is not much room there for anyone to keep very much as the club freight cars take up quite a bit space and the engine house is full and the tracks around it are full. I have 8 large plastic tote containers full of train stuff under my layout so you see, I have filled my bucket list and then some. I have been listing items on eBay just to weed out the herd or so to speak. Lot of On30 to go to a new home.  I don't think you could sell me something that I just couldn't refuse.  Care to try me? Well, we will see.  Cheers TOF Darryl

Gee, I guess you will be forced to spend time running RailPro trains.....

You have my deepest sympathy.

Well someone has too and I did volunteer but that was my goal anyway. While I have two more PROTO RDCs to modify as soon as the modules arrive, I can spend time working on my small layout and I mean rather small !! Thankful we have a club house and for the most part, I have been going there a lot since everyone decide to build a completely new layout. That was a little over a year ago and we have came a long way since day 1. You know in the long run, we all should have fun and I am doing my bit to the max. Cheers y'all ################ 8)

Sigh, the impossible dream...

I just need Bowser and Rapido to stop making locos I need and then I can start to play catch up.

The curse of modelling CP Rail in the 1980's - so many SD40-2s....
