Post by: KiloWhiskey on February 20, 2019, 03:41:36 PM
Has anyone here tried or considered trying a tv lift to build a vertical lift unit ?

Kevin,
There was an article on Model Railroad Hobbyist, I believe, in which the author told and demonstrated employing two vertical lift systems in order to gain enough height under a lift out panel for him to stand and work on surrounding scenery. I can’t give you the thread as I have not found it a second time.
Bill Brillinger may be able. to tell how to locate a specific thread on MRH.
The method was straight forward and appeared easy to install. His were television lifts ,also.

Thanks, I appreciate it,  sadly funding fell through, so it must wait....

Kevin,
The article in question was actually in Model Railroader magazine, June 2019 issue. I was toying with this idea when the article came out but pricing the lift units scuttled that idea.
Sorry about misleading you and about your funding.
