Title: Question about Coupler Clank Sound
Post by: MtRR75 on October 19, 2019, 10:36:00 AM
While programing my new LM-3S, I just discovered that there are two button icons for the Coupler Clank sound -- a Couple icon and an Uncouple icon.  But there is only one Coupler Clank sound.  Did I miss something?

There is no uncouple sound supplied by Ring Engineering.  I pulled mine from recordings that were made for train simulator games.  There are a number of mods out there for those games that replace the sound.  If you download some of those files you can find a few things in there of use.  New couple and uncouple sounds are the ones I used.  I believe that if it's for personal use there is no issue, but you cannot share them.  Someone may know more than me on this though.

There are a number of clanks sounds I recorded, and already edited for use on RailPro here:

Among the other sounds, on the RPUG are also some stretch sounds.

AND I see as of today on Rings website:

October 2019
New Sounds

Diesel Other - Uncouple Lever
The sound the lever makes when pulled to release a coupler knuckle.

Diesel Other - Uncouple
The sound of the knuckles coming apart and the sound of the air line coming apart.

Thanks for the suggestions.

I will look into them when I get some time.
