I discovered that ModelTrainStuff.com sells 12-packs of tortoise switch machines for about $150. I think that's a good deal. plus today they are offering 10% off anything on the site. I have ordered 12-packs twice when they have the 10% off sale and the 10% covers a bit more than the domestic shipping.
(I have no connection with them, just always on the lookout for a good deal).
