New Ultimate Sounds

Does anyone know when we will see more ultimate sounds released? I really need a GP-38-2 sound as the old one just sounds really bad.

Not sure on when they will be released but hopefully soon.  The ones I know that he has are the ET44 and old FDL-16.  He was provided a 645 roots but I guess the recording wasn't going to work.  A few kind emails from us could help to urge him along.

I was tracking down a GP38-2 to record, but on November 9, 2017 Ring Engineering said:

I suggest all who are interested in the GP38-2 recording to Email info@ringengineering.com and ask Tim when the EMD 645 Roots ULT file will be released.

Good will do, I also have access to a 567C on Paducah GP10 which I could use for my Intermountan GP10's

I spoke to Tim regarding the EMD 16-645E engine I recorded, he was a little concerned it was recorded with the recording level set too high. It sounds good to the ear but when looked at on a sound program it wasn't. I did say if he couldn't do anything with it I could try to do it again. It must be useable as he never asked.
As for a better 16-567 we're working on that. Cambell if it falls though would you you be willing to record the GP10 you have access to for us?

Yes I can record the GP10 but need to know what equipment to use and how to do it.

Sounds good. I’ll keep you posted. Currently it’s being used to record the Clinchfield F7 800.
When the equipment returns home to me I’ll get in touch with you.
