Revision 2.04 of LM2, LM-2S, LM3, LM-3S and LM-3S-G software has been released.

I don't know what this revision fixes.

From Tim Ring:

Hi Guys,

There is new LM-3(S) and LM-2(S) programs Rev 2.04.  They have improved operation of the light effects.

Also you probably want to reload the effects Dim Rev2 and Ditch Finish On Rev2 if you use them because the newest files have a minor improvement in them.

So I successfully downloaded the new LM-3s to my HC-2b controller. Controller was updated also to rev 2-05
Then I went to update the module. It didn't give me an option on what to update, just the locomotve.
So I took a chance and hit update. Checked the LM-3s and it now updated to rev 2-04. Great! But I have 2 othe Locos with the LM-3 non sound modules and my question is this.
If I download the rev 2-04 for the LM-3 to the HC-2b controller, will it write over the LM-3s file?
I am confused because it didn't give me a choice on what file to select.

Not to worry. One type of LM update will not overwrite a different type. Each file type will automatically update the same file type.

When you update an LM it will choose the correct file automatically. Just make sure you have the latest program versions on the HC for all the LM types you have.

Do I have to re-load the updates for lm modules every time into the HC for each LM that needs updated or do I keep using the same stored file??

You only need one copy of each LM update file. They can be used over and over.
