I'm not sure when it was released but I noticed it today.
Not sure what fixes or changes are included.

Within about the last 12 hours. It wasn't there last night before going to bed (about 1am).

2.09 for LM-3S variants was released today. It fixes a bug in the horn loop playback from 2.08.

Do I have to update in sequence to the 2.08 first before going to the 2.09 or can I just skip directly to the 2.09 ?

You can just download 2.09 and update your modules.
