Free Storage Discrepancy?
« on: January 17, 2021, 04:55:32 PM »
When uploading files to my HC-2b:
 - I noticed that the RailPro Assistant tool says "Free Storage = 96%" down in the lower RH quadrant of the window. What is this referring to?
 - On the Software Update screen of My HC-2b, it says, "Free Storage = 61%" down at the bottom left. What is this referring to?

Why are they different? Is each referring to something different?

The HC and the RPA software both have their own finite storage capacity.

OK - thanks!
I was thinking that RP Assistant was reflecting/listing what the "Free Storage" status was on my HC-2b and therefore the question since one said 96% and the other 61%.

I've been told by Don Sweet that you can only get two Prime Mover sounds on the HC-2, so three won't work, there's just not enough storage space, but all the sounds like horns, bells, etc. have at it, they take up very little space on the HC-2.

Many people use the HC Simulator and the CI-1 for programming.

If you choose to use these tools, you can use the HC Simulator Switcher utility to get around the storage limitations.
