Wiring troubles. Help appreciated.

I’m trying to wire lights for the first time.  It’s not working. 

I’m using a lm3s. I don’t think I’m getting power out of the board.  I have tried both a volt meter and an led to see if I’m getting power.

Here’s what I did to wire and test.   One wire to the 5+ which is the outermost post on one end of the board.  Other wire to white wire on harness on other end of the board.  Find engine on the remote. Configure front light to be white wire and turn on.   Should be power. Not getting any.   Tried volt meter and led. Tried led with and without resistor.  Lastly checked led with another power source.  Led works fine.

I believe you are using an LM-3S-G not an LM-3S, they are very different.

Yes. It is the one for g/o scale.

aside from lights, does the loco run properly?

Yes.  Sounds. Motor control are perfect.
