Custom file parameters?
« on: March 27, 2021, 01:00:28 PM »
Bill was kind enough to help me figure out how to download existing custom files.  I’d now like to make my own with audacity.

For sound files - is there a length cut off?

For looped files - is there a certain length for beginning looped and end?

Is there any formatting other than making it a Wav that I need to know?

There's no limitation on length except for if you make the sound file too long it might not fit on the LM. I don't know exactly how long is too long but most people will never run into that issue as they make sound's only a second or two long.

There is no certain length for the beginning or end of a loop.

There's no other formatting other than what is specified for importing into RPA; 44.1kHz Mono 16bit wavfile.

Thank you, Tim. I did my first custom sound yesterday. It took multiple tries to figure out the acceptable format, but the software was good about telling me what I needed to change.
