New LM-4S-G?

Since I cannot find any specifications on the RailPro site, will tag onto this thread.

Is there any official published specification of the current handling of the LM-4S-G? constant current and "surge" or "stall" at least are needed.

It is very strange that this information is not readily available on the official web site, not even the working voltage.

William Brillinger:
you can find all the RailPro Manuals here: http://ringengineering.com/RailPro/Documents/

The manual for the LM-4S-g is also listed on the LM-4S-g page: http://ringengineering.com/LM-4S-G.htm

First, the most important and common specifications should be on the dang site.

Would you buy a car where you had to read the owners manual to find out the gas mileage?

But it indeed was in the manual... I keep forgetting to go to the lowest level on the web site, and then scroll and scroll to find the manual.

Specifications
Maximum Power Input Voltage: 28 Volts (Absolute Maximum voltage 30.0V)
Maximum Motor Stall Current: 8 Amps
Maximum Output Current on any Single Light Output: 500mA.
Maximum Output Current on all Light Outputs Combined: 500mA.
Audio Output Power: 13 Watts into a 4 ohm load. 7.4 Watts into an 8 ohm load

So, thanks.... wonder what the maximum continuous current is though?

SoundTraxx rates their stall current (which really needs a duration or it is meaningless) similarly, but can only handle about 3 amps continuous.

The continuous rating is much more important, no one runs their locos in STALL all the time (not for long ha ha!)

I guess I will have to rely on user feedback...

Thanks for the tip, I promise to dig more on the site next time.
