Screen Brightness
« on: February 24, 2022, 02:55:28 PM »
Hello Everyone,

I am wondering how much difference there is between the screen brightness of the
HC-2 controller and the HC-2 SUN. Is there $30 worth of difference or could brightness of
standard HC-2 be changed?
Thanks
Darrell

I don't know how much brighter the display of the HC-2 Sun is compared to the standard HC-2 so I can't tell you if it's worth the money or not but both the HC-2 Sun and the standard HC-2 have brightness controls built in so they are user adjustable (for instance, I have my standard HC-2 set at 30% brightness).

If nobody else chimes in, I will take a photo of the difference next time I am at my warehouse and can look at both. That should be this coming Wednesday.

Here are 2 images showing the difference in brightness with the screens at their default brightness level of 65%
There is a considerable difference. (HC2B on the left, HC-2B-SUN version on the right)

This eliminates the need to install layout lighting. Turn on your HC-2B-SUN and light up the entire layout!
