Turnout Control with manual switches in addition to AM1
« on: June 01, 2022, 07:31:08 AM »
Hello,

Is there a way to control turnouts thru an AM1 OR with a switch control box?? The old fashioned way.
The reason for the question is because some of my loco's are controlled by a different controller/non-RailPro so I don't always need to have my HC-2 for a session.  I'd like the option to have to rely solely on the HC-2 for turnout control.

Thanks.

You can, but you will need some other hardware. A similar thing was done in this thread (https://rpug.pdc.ca/index.php/topic,261)  but it used an AM-1 and a DCC board. The DCC board was set up like a "push button" so I can't see why a physical push button wouldn't work. I don't know much about the whole set up from that thread though.
