Copper beading tape

Showed this in a General Discussion thread but wanted to show them here. I use adhesive copper tape sold for bead crafts in my HO loco installs, usually for the common (blue) circuit. You can solder to it, and it eliminates some of the wiring for a neater install. It can also be run up inside a loco shell for lights though I have yet to try that. Cir-Kit Concepts sells two-conducter double-insulated tapewire which would be good for lights, etc., and can be adhered to metal. First photo is a Proto-2000 BL2, second photo is a Front Range GP7.

what I have used is small pieces of printed circuit board. I cut them on my band saw to fit wherever I can on a given chassis, and glue them on with gorilla glue. then solder away!

I did that with the loco in the second photo, bought blank breadboard and cut smaller segments as solder points for the front and rear headlights. Got that idea from Lee Nicholas, who has been generous on here sharing his expertise.

Both the copper tape and the PC board are really smart ideas. I will definitely incorporate these on future installs. Thanks!
