Railpro update video
« on: March 10, 2019, 08:27:19 AM »
I finally got around to compiling a mediocre update video for Railpro, found here:
.

It goes over some of the main updates and new functionality.  If I'm not too lazy I probably ought to have a couple videos going in-depth on the software and other new functions.

Another nice job, Kevin. This should bring in some new RP users.  ;)

I have a RailPro system, run by an HC-2.  I have a question regarding the CI-1.
One of the things I like about the HC-2 is the knob.  I find it is very easy to control slow start-ups and stops using the knob.
How is the locomotive speed controlled in the H-C1?

Thanks everyone, glad you liked it.  I'm currently working on learning cinematography techniques so I hope make much better videos in the future.

Greg, welcome to the group!!  Glad to have you here.

MtRR75 - On the CI-1 the speed is controlled by whatever you use to scroll up and down on the computer.  You can use a mouse wheel, or your mouse pad if you are on a laptop (like me).  The speed steps will only go in increments of 1.0%, rather than the 0.01% of the HC.  It still works fine, though I prefer a knob myself.  The CI-1 is extremely handy to use to load sounds and program locomotives.  You will quickly realize that the HC's drain battery very quickly if you are loading sounds.

I finally had time to spend on the site and found Kevin’s fantastic video. I knew much of the video content but to actually see it and hear the sound is very impressive, to say the least. This video is far from mediocre, Kevin.
 Thank you for the video.

PS.
The locomotive sounds may yet induce me to move my preferred era so I can use newer locos and with sound modules.
