What is required for an Intermountain SD40-2 Install?
« on: June 27, 2019, 06:42:30 PM »
I just finished doing my first RailPro install on two Athearn P42s.  On those I just hardwired the module and installed new LEDs all around.  My next install will be on an Intermountain SD40-2 w/ Ditchlights but I'm curious if this would be as simple as installing a module with a 21 to 9 pin connector?  I want to use this engine at the National Train Show in SLC in two weeks and curious if I should just wait until after the show to do the install.

Well, the 21 to 9 pin harness will certainly get it rolling. If not all the functions are there, it might be as simple as adding the wires off the 6 pin harness to the pads on the 21 pin connector.
