Downloading files to remote
« on: March 23, 2021, 12:34:24 PM »
I plugged in the cl-1. I fired up railpro assist. But it says not connected to handheld.  I had the remote on and opened the appropriate screen to start a download.  Any thoughts?

The CI-1 is not used to load to the HC. It is used in conjunction with the HC-Simulator Software to interact with LM's and other modules.

To load files to an HC, you must connect the HC by USB.

Thanks.  I thought people were using that to bypass the direct plugin as they were having trouble with the remote not acting correctly.

You can manage your LM's from the HC-Simulator using the CI-1, which saves you from battery issues on the HC.

Then you can control the LM's from the HC.

I personally use a combination of the two, since you can update more than one LM at a time by using the HC-Sim/CI-1 for one and the HC for another.
