upgrading an older LM-2
« on: Today at 08:15:30 AM »
I received a few older decoder modules and I was able to update an LM-2S without any trouble so I moved on to the next one which is a non-sound unit.  I just connected the unit up to power and then found it with the controller and pushed the software to it.  With this next decoder my controller can't find it.

I haven't tried to swap in a different 9-pin connector.

thoughts?

If you haven't already detected it and accidentality forgotten that you did (it happens) the LM could be dead or may have a password on it. If you don't know what that password could be then you can try resetting the password. The instructions for resetting the password are in the HC-3 instructions, page 26 to be exact.
