P2K SD60 install

Hi Group,

Has anyone installed a RailPro module into a P2K SD60? I have a pair that I would like to convert, and I just cracked one open and I'm not sure if I can toss the board or not. With that huge "pull the walls down" weight, there isn't a ton of room to play around in without tossing the board.

Thoughts?

I've installed 22 LM's in my engines, and so far I've only left one board in. Just make sure you know where all the wires go before you pull the board, then hard wire it. But none of those engines were the SD60 though (too new for my layout).

This is a photo of a pre Walthers Proto 2000 SD9. I toss the board as it's of no use, the only thing on it is diodes for the lighting.
I then hardwire in the 9 pin JST harness. You will need to add resistors to for the lights if you don't use a 12-14 volt bulb. All my P2K units with the newer LM-2/2S modules were done in a similar manor.
