Small diesel sound
« on: September 01, 2022, 08:48:08 PM »
Does anyone have a small diesel sound file? I converted my side rod diesel Davenport today, and she has a 200hp diesel... But none of the sounds are close. Hoping someone has a file? Thank you

Unfortunately no, there is no small diesel sounds available as Ring does not let us create our own prime mover sounds, and in the small scale world (HO that is) it was probably less of a priority than anything else but now that large scale is a big player in RailPro I can see a very big need for these types of sounds, Large scale has so many industrial type loco's, it's almost like large scale was built from them.

I'd be pushing this with Ring.

I have the same problem with my LGB @50 diesel switcher, I purchase my Rail Pro equipment from Don at RCS and his suggestion was to use the EMD which comes with the standard RP board. Yes, it does not sound correct, or even close to correct, but that was the only choice I have at this time, I do run the sound lower and that helps to to muffle the sound somewhat, it's ok for now.
