Wiring Beacon Lights
« on: December 16, 2022, 02:52:53 PM »
I have a couple of Athearn Genesis HO GP 39-2 and I have replaced the front and back  lights with LED's, but I'm not sure how to wire up the Beacon lights to the Rail Pro module.

This post may get more traffic in the General Discussions board.

The beacon light would the same as any other light, I would think: Connect to either the green or purple wires on the 9 pin or green or purple on the 6, download the correct program and assign accordingly.

I can confirm it's as simple as KB02 states. I did it on a Genesis GP9, albeit using light bulbs that came with the loco vs. LEDs. Just make sure you run the wires to one of the alternate light connections on the board (should be on the side) if you are using the Genesis board and then choose the correct wire colour on the RailPro screen.
