LM-3S
« on: March 09, 2026, 08:05:16 PM »
Has anyone had any trouble with a brand new module not being recognized? Had a problem today when a new out of the package LM-3S could not be recognized by the hand held unit. On a whim I switched the LM with another new one and it was recognized no problem and is working perfectly. Not sure what my options are as I purchased the LM's from several different suppliers.

At about $100/ea, I would call Ring and see if they would consider looking at it and/or exchanging it ?

I'm sure they get some duds now and then ? I only installed 4 so far ....

That was along the lines that I was thinking so I'll contact Ring and see what he says. Thanks LVRR for the response and I'll let you know what he says.

Mr. Picks,

Just wondering what your solution was here. Did you get the module to work or did you send it back to Ring?

Mrpicks,

Very well. I sent them several LM-3S modules and an LM-3S-21 and they were able to diagnose and fix all of them.

You should be in good hands.
