Chasing bugs
« on: April 28, 2017, 07:01:43 AM »
Been rather quite here of late, must be all the northern latitude spring jobs that that need to be completed  :)

It's taken me a bit longer than I wanted (more on that in a bit) but I've finished putting all the known bugs and work around's I know about into the bug list. If I have missed any bugs please let me know.

So... it took me longer because I got sidetracked, and then sidetracked from being sidetracked. Story: A member messaged me with a unique problem. The member solved it before I could reply however I decided to investigate it (first sidetrack) as a bug. The issue seems to relate to the free space indicator in RPA reporting some free space left even though the storage file is full. I am still looking into this as a bug but in the course of my detective work I decided (second sidetrack) to see if I could increase the size of the storage as 32 megabytes is kinda weak. I did succeed and have a copy of RPA that utilises a 64 megabyte storage file; double the original.  ;D I could have made it much bigger too but.....

Now before anyone thinks they might get excited by that I can tell you it's not economical to do this every time RE releases a new version of RPA and I have no wish to patch the ridiculous amount of code that needs to be patched every time either.

Tim, many thanks for creating and updating the Bug List. Your help is always appreciated.  :)

Yes, spring in the northern US (and Canada) means getting outside to undo all of winter's damage, and less time online.
