RailPro module
« on: December 18, 2017, 08:25:57 PM »
Hi Folks,

A question..With most engines that are sound come with a 21 pin decoder, and that there is a connection cable 21 to 9 pin what Railpro module would you need? the sound unit or the non sound. I am wanting to keep the sound that comes with the unit, but would like to run with the railpro.

Thanks

Alan

I believe the factory supplied sound board is controlled with DCC. To use sound you would be forced into using RP in DCC mode or use two controllers for the same train. That sacrifices some of the nicest features of RP. But if you wish, LM-2 or LM-3 would work.
