Hard install

I have two old but very nice locomotives that are not DCC ready. How difficult is it to hardwire in a 9 pin harness? Is there any place to find instructional documents or videos on how to install DCC harnesses which will allow use of an LM-2?

It does depend on the locomotive, but the wiring for RP is the same as it is for DCC. Google "Wiring a locomotive for DCC", and you will find plenty of information and videos on how to do it.

Hi Bill,
The two locos are a Roundhouse Alco RS-3 and a Stewart Baldwin VO-1000.

Here are
Soundtraxx's instructions for the Baldwin
(PDF)
It should help you figure out the RailPro install for that one.
