Back to this topic if I may. This option came up on ebay and at $8.50 a unit I wanted to check it's capability. Any ideas?

Thanks.

Alan, no, there's no particular interest. I don't want to spend $50 a copy for the Digitrax version. Any stable power supply would be fine with me.

Is there an easy way to take the barrel plug on the DC output to a two wire situation?

Yeah, cut it off and strip the wires. That's not a snarky response. It is simply that easy.
