Can a Digitrax AR-1 be used in place of a RailPro AR-1 in a RailPro system?    I have some leftovers from when I was gonna go DCC.

Yes, if you use a DCC system to power the layout.
Otherwise you must use the RailPro component.

Instead of a DCC system to power your track, if you feeling adventurous, you could use our simulated DCC power supply. https://rpug.pdc.ca/index.php/topic,733.0.html. The Digitrax AR1 would work with it.
