Cutting down I-phone speakers
« on: December 28, 2017, 09:54:43 AM »
I need to cut down a I-phone speaker to fit in a Scale Trains Gevo. First time doing this, any suggestions, hints, or advice.

I hard wired a Intermountain ES44 using a I-phone speaker and everything fit perfect without any modification and sounds great.

Thanks, Dave

Dave, take a look here: https://rpug.pdc.ca/index.php/topic,147.msg915.html#msg915

I like to cut the speaker leaving just a bit of the foam if possible, then cap the end with styrene.
This has worked well for me.
