If you're feeling really adventurous with the ScaleTrains install, here's another method to accomplish that: https://rpug.pdc.ca/index.php/topic,417.msg3235.html#new.  However, it's far easier to use the existing board and use a 21-pin adapter harness as Bruce did.  I'm a glutton for punishment so I removed everything and hardwired the Railpro module in.  Certainly not necessary, but another option to consider depending on your end goal.
